Permanent Brows Prep & Aftercare Guide to Long-Lasting Results

Aftercare is an especially important part of the treatment.

If you do not follow the advice given by your artist, some complications may emerge.

Steps:

Before The Procedure

  • Things You Should Avoid for at least 24 hours - BTP*: Alcohol, caffeine, Ibuprofen/Advil, Aspirin, Vitamin E, hair, skin, nail supplements, and fish oil supplements.
  • Stop using 2 weeks - BTP*: Botox and filler on the forehead, temple, and eye area. Alpha Hydroxy Acid products close to the eyebrow area.
  • 1 week - BTP*: Retinol or vitamin A products, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and facials. Avoid sun, tanning, brow waxing, tinting, or threading.

After The Procedure

  • Day 1 - 2: Use a clean tissue every few hours to pick up the clear fluid. This helps reduce scabbing. Keep brows completely dry for 24 hours. No washing, moisturizing, or touching.
  • After 24 Hours: Wash brows every morning and evening with antibacterial soap using your finger in a gentle circular motion. Rinse lightly, dab dry, and apply only a thin layer of aftercare ointment with clean hands or a Q-tip.
  • Remember: Do not pick scabs. Do not apply anything besides approved aftercare. Touch-ups, if needed, can be done no sooner than 8 weeks after the initial appointment.
  • Important: Signs of infection may include redness, swelling, tenderness, red streaks, elevated temperature, or purulent drainage. Seek medical care if these symptoms appear.
